Looking back at the work I've done in school and the transformation of my style, I have started to take into account the people who have greatly influenced me as a designer.

Above is my aunt Kelly. As an only child, I consider Kel the closest thing I have to a sister. She's my creative soul mate. We have the same taste in all spectrums of art and design and she has introduced me to so many sources of inspiration. Kelly has taught me to find beauty in not only design but in color, poetry, fiber art, and modern dance. With her stunning ability to pull off leggings and layered knits by her best friend, Laurie, she's my fashion idol as well ;)

Other people throughout the past five years have shaped me into the budding designer I am today. My mentor at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Erin, has a minimalist and somewhat edgy approach to design that has stuck with me and greatly shifted my image. My friend and coworker at Rifle Paper Co., Jen, has instilled in me a greater appreciation for simplicity and refined typography. There have been countless others, but these people have a design sense that resonates with me so strongly.
